I have a clarinet that has Evette and Schaeffer stamped on all four pieces (as photo shows)īut the serial number appears to once have been a D and has a slightly larger K stamped over it. Evette made mainly clarinets, flutes, and saxes. Even though the R13 was officially introduced in 1955. This coincided wth the polycylindrical bore introduction. High end intermediate model.Įvette and Schaeffer Master model - still E13 but of better quality (?wood quality) Around 1950 Buffet adopted a new model identification of No1 or NO1. Student modelĮvette and Schaeffer model became the E13 and has serial number starting with a K. I think the gist of model designation is:Įvette model became the E10 and has serial number starting with a D. I have posted this question on there but had no views - so thought I would try here.
